Representative Football
The IIRL is the longest running fantasy rugby league community with the IIRL Premiership being its only world wide competition consisting of players from all major rugby league competitions (including the Australasian NRL and European Super League).
The IIRL also has representative football between states (New South Wales and Queensland) and special test matches (Australia and England for Australia Day, Australia and New Zealand for ANZAC Day).
The IIRL also holds a World Cup to coincide with the RL World Cup.
The last World Cup was held in 2008 with Australia defeating Fiji 30-22.
Previously, in the IIRL Premiership there was representative football between players from different team alliances.
As the real life RL world expands with new countries taking part in the greatest game of all, opportunities will expand for more countries to take part in the IIRL representative scene. |
